Improving our habits is something we all want. However, only a few of us seem to challenge our bad habits head on even though it is being said that you can change your habits in 21 days. Therefore, I will take the next 30 days to really focus and actively try to diminishing bad habits, and replace them by good habits that I can nurture for the rest of my life. Follow me along on that journey.
Creating healthy habits
Creating a healthy lifestyle is and will be my number one priority. I have a mostly sedentary lifestyle and some bad eating habits I am quite frankly quite embarrassed by. However, it is time to focus on the future and improve my diet. When I was in my mid-twenties and freshly out of a bad break-up I was able to put all my bad eating habits into a closet and found a way of eating that suited me. Lots of fresh vegetables, little carbs and a lot of protein. I did KETO before it even was a thing. Due to stress and honestly a love for bread I did end up falling of that bandwagon, but keeping that feeling in mind I want to implement a weekly meal prep to go back to that way of eating.
Creating healthy workout habits
Health and working out go hand in hand. So even though I really dislike working out. I know that creating an exercise routine does not only benefit my physical health. It especially has a big positive effect on my mental health and I feel much less anxious and more happy. During that same period in my twenties I previously mentioned, I did a lot of walking. I lived next to a major stream in Seoul that would lead all the way to my university. On beautiful spring days I would loved walking there. It is a low impact workout I actually enjoy that I want to implement back into my life.
Creating a good work ethic
Having found a career path that makes me excited is not enough to succeed into the field. I really want to make sure that I create a habit of spending some focused time on my career and the opportunities that come with it every single day. Part of that career also includes focusing my time on improving this empty blog and creating the youtube video's I always wanted.
